Around 1955 a series of five different fire wagons were introduced by revell. revell added the horses and the firemen figures to the original kits which were produced by others (much like Gowland and Revell). A steamer , chemical wagon, and hose reel are the most common of the series. The first one pictured pictured here is ladder wagon, which featured a tall extension ladder requiring a driver for the rear wheels and several other ladders stored below. The second picture is a water tower that could be hooked up to a water source and then raised to full extension to pump the water. Both of these are very rare and very valuable on ebay. I was fortunate to find these dusty and dirty and in need of spare parts and repairs. I have been working on them for nearly a year off and on as parts became available. The last challenge was to locate display cases that were over 14 inches long, but not to wide or tall. These cases were originally intended for small scale ship models.
